The “Peñon de Ifach”, without doubt a symbol of the Costa Blanca, rises out of the sea as a limestone rock of about 50,000 square metres, 332 metres high and 1000 metres long. Connected to the land by a tight isthmus, it is the product of a landslide of the nearby “Sierra de Oltà”, constituting one of the most unique and beautiful geographical features of the entire Mediterranean coast.

It belongs to the most visited natural spaces, and is also a point of approach for divers, climbers and hikers. Just remember that you have to make an appointment in advance to be able to climb the rock.

Calpe also offers a multitude of sports to practice. These include: activities for beginners, such as hiking, etc… Or more risky sports, such as climbing, kitesurfing…


In Calpe you can enjoy 13 km of fine golden sandy coastline, with quiet bays, small sandy coves or unspoilt rocky coasts with cliffs, all of them known for the purity of their incomparable turquoise blue waters.

Arenal-Bol and La Fossa-Levante are endless urban sandy beaches where you can enjoy a quiet stroll or water sports and activities with a wide range of services and facilities.

With more than 5 km of beautiful cliffs, among which the Peñón de Ifach, Toix and La Manzanera stand out, surrounded by vegetation, we find beautiful and quiet coves, sculpted by the sea and the wind, such as El Penyal, Les Bassetes or El Racó.
