Beaches and coves of fine sand
Perfect for strolling, doing sport or simply enjoying the sea. If you hate rocks and pebbles, the fine sandy beaches are for you. Arena-Bol and La Fossa are the most popular and crowded. By the way, we give credit to the images you will see below, property of the Calpe town hall, they are incredible.
Located in the urban area of Calpe, with street access, the Arena-Bol beach stands out as one of the most visited beaches in the municipality. Its calm waters are perfect to enjoy with children and it is delimited by a promenade where you can enjoy a wide range of services such as restaurants, ice-cream parlours and cafes. It has been awarded the Blue Flag.
To the north of the Peñón de Ifach, near the Salinas de Calpe, we find the beach of La Fossa, also known as Levante beach. An urban beach, with street access and delimited by a well-kept promenade where you can enjoy restaurants, pubs and shops. It has also been awarded the Blue Flag.
Cala del Morelló
Located on the Infanta Elena promenade, next to the Torre del Molí, after which it is named, we find this small cove of fine sand. From this cove we can access the Baños de la Reina (Queen’s Baths), a set of structures from the Roman period that housed an old fish farm.
Playa Cantal Roig
Beaches and pebble coves
Next to the fishing port, with street access, is Cantal Roig beach. A small, quiet cove from where you can watch the boats arrive at the port and enjoy the local gastronomy in the surrounding restaurants. It has been awarded the Blue Flag.
Next to the Calalga park, at the end of the north side of La Fossa beach, this curious cove of fine sand and pebbles surprises us with the vegetation that accumulates on its rocks. We can access it via a ramp located on the pedestrian walkway.
Located next to the Puerto Blanco marina, with the same name, we find this small cove of pebbles and coarse sand that stands out for its calm and crystalline waters.
To the south of the coast, also close to Puerto Blanco, is Cala Les Urques. Perfect for enjoying the sea with your pet, as it is a dog-friendly beach.
Next to the Urbanización La Manzanera we find this small cove from where you can enjoy the view of the recognisable buildings of the architect Ricardo Bofill.
